Just another grumble

So I was browsing Amazon for a decent=ish android tablet I can use as a target for some programming (I'm thinking about getting into that area since it's growing in demand exponentially....), and I was looking at the reviews to determine if they're any good or if there were any bad points.
Then I came across one review. It said something along the lines of this....
"I bought this tablet to replace my ageing iPad first gen"

Ageing??? Didn't they only come out two years ago???
I'm assuming he's one of the people who must be at the forefront of technology otherwise his gadget's not going to be fast enough to access Instagram and pam the web full of hipster-esque photos

I still have a Nokia 1600 and I wouldn't replace it with anything (unless it broke and was rendered useless). How can technology two years old be ageing? I still play things like the Sega Megadrive and the SNES.
I'd understand if he was a developer or programmer, but he didn't seem like the type, I mean, the iPad and Android have different programming techniques\SDKs\languages and so on and so forth, so I'm doubting that
Most of these people who bum gadgets never seem to know anything about the innards or what goes on behind the fancy graphics on screen.

But speaking of people like that, I find that the workers in Maplin are like that. It's supposed to be the biggest high street electronic specialist in the UK
Pfffff.... They never have anything I'm after. I walked in to find some SMD LEDs (I was going to mod my Xbox controller), but hen I couldn't find some, I asked the guy. He stood there like "Errrr...." and had to get their catalogue out and look through. I'm thinking that he wasn't too sure what they are. But they didn't have them in the end. The same with male to female prototyping wires. I'm just going to resort to Ebay from now on. It's a lot cheaper too. 50p for a single LED? Fuck that, I can buy a pack of 20 for 99 US cents with free shipping of Ebay and they're fine

Enough moaning, my dear boy. I'm going away today and still haven't packed....
