Do people really not know when to use these?
I see people forming plurals with them or even forming the singular third person form of a verb, eg "He want's the apple"
I saw a sign for a shop saying "Turbo's and Tyres" and another one saying "Curry's and more"
Where the hell did they get that idea from? Did they not go to school?
Oh dear, oh dear
No one ever seems to be able to use the possessive correctly either. I see people forming plurals instead. The other day I walked past a shop and it said "The countries best selling aqua shop" or similar.
Countries?????
Country's
Much better
There are many other things I could moan about to do with people and their use of the apostrophe, like "its" and "it's"
I could also write up on how to use the apostrophe, but I highly doubt it will be of much use. People are destroying the English language anyway, so I shan't bother. No one would take the time to read it either way
Manchmal denke ich, ich kann Deutsch besser schreiben als das, was viele Englische Leute Englisch schreiben können
(Sometimes I think I can write German better than what many English people can write English - I'm learning)
It's really not that hard to use them....
